Naxot Deepwater in Burning Woods for the cleric epic does not seem to spawn. He's supposed to spawn once per in-game day. I've sat through multiple in-game days more than once and he has not spawned.

I agree there is an issue here. I also cannot get this npc to spawn. In the meantime, I will keep an eye out for you and spawn Naxot manually so you can pass this part.

Ok thanks. My cleric is Gomer and if I don't respond on him try Meatshield.

This and all other day/night type spawns should now be working.

So I tried it again and it did not spawn for me. Sat in Burning Woods for 2 full EQ days and Naxot did not appear.

Sorry about this. Looks like when I fixed one problem it revealed another. It seems the zone servers are not keeping the time in sync, so it is breaking time-of-day based spawn events.
I will just make Naxot a static spawn that's up all the time if I can't easily solve the time sync issue. It will be a few days on this. Really busy week for me.

No problem thanks. One thing I noticed through doing this is that it seems each time I zoned into BW the game time sets to 8am if no one was in the zone before.

Found and fixed a bug in the EQEmu code to solve this problem. The bug seems to not affect server code running on windows, rather only on Linux. I suspect that's why it was never fixed (most people run on windows).
I am planning to patch this weekend.
