Astral Projection in The Overthere = a bad man - Resolved

If you follow the quest for the monk epic, you need to turn in Trunts head to Astral projection in The Overthere.

Now i made a mistake, by giving him the Celestial Fists book.. my bad. I did not recieve it back.


When i give him the head of Trunt, it just says, Astral Projection ignores you. And does not give you teh Eye of kaiaren as suppost to.

    [ ] Fist of Water

-> ( ) Go to Overthere and locate a monk named Astral Projection . Hand him Trunt's Head and receive Eye of Kaiaren.

    ( ) In Lake of Ill Omen on a small platform in the lake (Loc 765, 860), give an Astral Projection the Eye of Kaiaren to spawn Vorash and Deep on the Platform.

    Once Vorash dies, Xenevorash will spawn. Kill Xenevorash and loot Demon Fangs.



Can a Gm or anybody else help me out here.
Also i got disconnected at some point trying to give the item while fd.

The quest is expecting to find a global variable that you would have received from handing in Trunt's Head to Deep in Lake Rathetear prior to the hand in to Astral Projection in Overthere.


Here are the scenarios I have tried in which he says "ignores you" and gives the head back.

• Give Trunt's Head
• Give Trunt's Head while FD
• Give Celestial Fist book then give Trunt's Head
• Give Celestial Fist book and Trunt's Head at the same time

Here is the code that is being hit:

quest::emote("ignores you.");
quest::summonitem(1686); #Trunt's Head

The only scenario in which you do not get the Head back is when you get Eye of Kaiaren. Otherwise, as you can see, anytime the emote fires you get the item back.

Am I doing something wrong to replicate the issue?

I had this exact issue. Most Epic guides say you can skip the part of talking to the lady underwater in Lake Rathe. For this server you have to talk to her and then go to the astral projection or the Epic quest will not continue.

shodai - Did you get the head back from Astral Projection or did you have to re-quest it? If you didn't get it back, do you remember what you did?

He gave it back and then I went immediately to Lake Rathe, then right back to him and everything went smoothly thereafter.

I will talk to the lady first then, and do the turn in.

As for the book, i prolly have to do that part again (. Because i did not get the book back, he did eat it.. or just wanted something to read while standing for a eternity in the pit =)

Turned in Trunts head to "Deep" in lake rathe. Then went back to Astral Projection in The Overthere and got the Eye of Kaiaren. Thank you for the Tip there Shodai.
